David Wagner is Associate Professor of Music at Madonna University in Livonia Michigan and Program Director of classical radio stations KMZT - FM in Los Angeles, California. He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan where he studied with Marilyn Mason. In addition to his work as a solo performer, Wagner has also been organist and harpsichordist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Wagner is the recipient of the Palmer Christian award from the University of Michigan School of Music, for postdoctoral achievement in the field of music performance, and the Arts Achievement Award from Wayne State University. His recent compact disc recording Bright and Clear was named " Best Classical Recording of a solo artist" at the 1998 Motor City Music Awards. Before his appointment at Madonna University, Dave Wagner was the morning host at WGUC, the classical music station in Cincinnati. For 18 years he was the afternoon host and Program Director of WQRS-FM, the classical music station in Detroit, where he also hosted the nationwide Detroit Symphony Orchestra broadcasts. His book, The Complete Listeners Guide to Classical Music will be published soon by G. Schrimer and Sons. Dr. Wagner is available for recitals and concerts as an organist, harpsichordist and conductor.
